 Acura va présenter son prototype RS-X, un affriolant nouveau coupé sport, lors du Salon international nord-américain de l'auto de Détroit, en janvier. Acura va de plus dévoiler sa berline 3.2 TL 2002, laquelle arborera une silhouette moderne et sera aussi disponible en version performance Type S.

Le pilote français Olivier Panis n'a pas pris une décision facile à la fin de 1999: quitter la formule 1 pour devenir pilote-essayeur pour l'équipe McLaren/Mercedes même si des offres intéressantes étaient sur la table.
