Drivers of the Audi TT Roadster can now look forward to a whole new form of driving pleasure: the current choice of driving with the soft top either up or down has now been widened by a hardtop as a third way of enjoying the Roadster. The efficient heat insulation achieved by this construction provides valuable protection against the effects of adverse weather, especially in winter. As well as this, the hardtop’s outstanding soundproofing ensures additional acoustic comfort. A quality that also benefits from the hardtop’s perfected aerodynamics: the drag coefficient of the TT with hardtop is identical with that of the Coupé. Performance and fuel consumption are equivalent to those of the Audi TT Roadster with soft top. An aluminium frame construction provides the supporting structure; the outer skin is made of plastic for maximum stability. It can be fitted easily and in just a few minutes. Besides its functional qualities, the TT hardtop also has stylistic attraction. It is painted the same colour as the body and thus fits in harmoniously with the Roadster’s exciting silhouette. The transition between the body and the fitted roof is barely visible. Thanks to its heated glass rear window, the hardtop also provides excellent rear visibility in all weather conditions. The headlining of the hardtop, which is trimmed in high-quality cloth in the colour Ebony, creates a special ambience inside the car.       |
