Beauport, August 16, 2000 - Following last year's success of the national old car and antique show, the Montmorency Falls Park management and "Les Belles Autos d'hier" club are proud to hold their 4th Elegance Show on August 26 and 27. For that great event, some 1200 cars from all parts of Quebec and even outside the province will be in exhibition in the park located behind the Manoir Montmorency. Several auto clubs all over the province will make it a point of honour to delegate a large group of exhibitors. Some groups likes VAQ (Voitures anciennes de Québec inc.), VAG (Voitures anciennes de Granby), VAO (Voitures anciennes de l'Outaouais), VACM (Voitures antiques et classiques de Montréal), Rendez-vous des Anglaises, the Porshe Club of America, the Volkswagen Classic Club, the Beetle Club, the Westphalia Club, the Mopar Club, the Rod Runners, the Mustang Club, the Corvette Club and a few others will be there for that annual get together. There will be classic cars of every era, which is likely to please a large number of visitors. The car owners will be pleased to answer all kinds of questions since most of them restored their vehicles and know every detail relevant to it. Besides the pre-war and post-war beauties, the visitors will also see the so called "muscle cars" from the sixties and the seventies with their overpowering V8 engines. A flea market grouping some thirty exhibitors will attract onlookers as well as collectors looking for that missing part of accessory in order to complete the restoration of their vehicles. The visitors will be delighted to walk around an enchanting and historical site that stands as the perfect place to admire those beautiful cars of the past. More than 25 000 visitors are expected for that two day event likely to please people, regardless of age. That unique event might turn to be, in the next years, one of the most important old car and antique show in the Eastern part of North America. The activities are scheduled from 9 am to 5 PM on August 26 (Saturday) and from 9 am to 4 PM on the 27th (Sunday). Admission is a quite affordable $ 2 per day for adults. It will be free for twelve-year-old and under kids accompanied by an adult. Parking fees are extra. That annual classic is the ideal activity for the families intent of keeping within their leisure activity budget. In order to ease the access to the site and solve the crucial parking problem, the visitors could be use the Courvilloise School (formerly Ulric-Huot School) and Gilles-Tremblay Arena parking lots, both of them located on Larue Avenue in Beauport, not far from the Montmorency Falls Park. The two dollars ($ 2) parking fee will include the shuttle service to the site. That event is organized in collaboration with the City of Beauport, the Beauport Tourist Development Corporation, the Manoir Montmorency and the support of several sponsors.
