MINIFollowing in the footsteps of the original MINI, which recently ceased production after 41 years, this new model is instantly recognisable inside and out as a MINI. It brings with it all the driving pleasure of the old car, and more, in a beautifully designed body, now built to BMW’s exacting quality standards in Oxford. Under the skin is a state-of-the-art small car with multi-link suspension and an incredibly stiff chassis, giving outstanding handling. It also means exceptionally good crash performance, making it probably the safest car of its size. Z9 Convertible Concept CarA convertible version of the Z9 Coupe, which was the surprise star of the Frankfurt Motorshow last year. It has a revolutionary interior featuring BMW's iDrive concept, which uses similar principles to a computer mouse to operate some of the secondary controls of the car including seat comfort, telecommunication and driver assistance functions. This is BMW's answer to the problem of car interiors becoming increasingly cluttered with knobs, buttons and switches as vehicle systems become more complex. The iDrive system can control 700 operations in a single unit. BMW M3British debut of the latest iteration of this performance icon. Power increases to 343 bhp from a completely redesigned 3.2 litre straight six engine. Performance and handling are of supercar standard - it recently beat a Porsche 911 Carrera in a car magazine group test. Acceleration from 0-62 mph in takes 5.2 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. BMW 3 serie breakFor europe only... 5 SeriesA new look for the front grille and headlamp distinguishes this new 5 Series from its predecessor – which is already the benchmark executive car. But there are bigger changes under the bonnet. New 2.2, 2.5 and 3.0 litre straight six engines power the new 520i, 525i and 530i models respectively. There is also a new 2.5 litre turbo diesel – the 525d. |
