<b><font size=5 color=#FF0000>Au tour de David Coulthard <br> d''être le plus rapide en piste </font></b>

<p align="justify">    <b>Mardi lors de la première journée de la reprise des essais à la piste Valencia en Espagne, Mika Hakkinen a effectué le tour le plus rapide, aujourd''hui ce fut au tour de son coéquipier David Coulthard qui a pris sa relève au volant de la McLaren. </b> <p align="justify">    Il a toutefois roulé trois dixièmes de seconde moins rapidement pendant que Heinz-Harald Frentzen avec la Jordan obtenait le deuxième temps, huit dixièmes moins rapide. <p align="justify">    Évidemment, on a surtout travaillé la nouvelle gestion électronique en prévision de la course de Monaco la semaine prochaine où on craint la pire à la suite de ce que l''on a vu lors des deux premières courses avec le retour de ces systèmes un peu trop sophistiqués semble-t-il. <p align="justify">    Mauvaise nouvelle pour l''écurie BAR a lors que Jacques Villeneuve a terminé la journée 12e pendant que Olivier Panis était 14e... et dernier. <p align="justify">    Les essais se poursuivront demain jeudi à cette piste. <p align="justify">    Durant ce temps à la piste Fiorano en Italie, Luca Badoer a poursuivi le travail de développement sur la Ferrari 2001 et il a effectué 118 tours de piste et il a simulé 16 départs.
